Paloh Print Story

Founded in 2012 by Andy Koay, Paloh Print began as “De Lamour Digital Photo Studio,” offering professional photography services. In its early days, the company earned a strong reputation in its hometown for high-quality portrait photography and event coverage. However, Andy soon recognized a growing demand for printing services—ranging from photo prints to event posters and promotional materials—uncovering a promising market opportunity. Seizing this potential, he expanded the business and officially established “Paloh Print Sdn Bhd” in 2019, signifying a commitment to excellence in the printing industry, inspired by the phrase “伯乐识才,印艺求精” (great talent deserves great craftsmanship). This marked the company’s transformation from photography to professional printing.

From the outset, Paloh Print has been keenly attuned to market trends, continually investing in cutting-edge printing technology. The company acquired high-precision digital printers, large-format printing equipment, and automated cutting systems, gradually building a comprehensive production line that encompasses large-format, digital, and traditional offset printing. Additionally, Paloh Print pioneered value-added services, such as customized display stands, packaging solutions, label and sticker printing, seasonal products (holiday greeting cards, calendars), and corporate promotional gifts. These offerings solidified its reputation as a one-stop printing solutions provider.

Though rooted in a small town, Paloh Print harbors ambitions beyond local boundaries. By optimizing its supply chain, implementing flexible pricing strategies, and prioritizing personalized service, the company has distinguished itself in the highly competitive printing industry. For instance, it launched a fast-track printing service tailored to small businesses, ensuring urgent orders are completed within 24 hours. At the same time, it supports local schools and nonprofit organizations with special discounted printing services, reinforcing its commitment to community engagement. This strategy of “deep local presence, wide regional reach” has successfully expanded its customer base beyond hometown residents to corporations, event organizers, and advertising firms in neighboring cities.

Paloh Print’s success is built on two fundamental pillars: advanced equipment and a skilled team. Employees regularly attend international printing expos to stay abreast of the latest industry innovations, while an in-house mentorship program preserves traditional printing techniques by mentoring younger staff. Moreover, Andy strongly believes in cultivating a quality-driven company culture, establishing the standard that “every printed piece represents the customer’s brand”—ensuring meticulous attention to detail from design proofing to final production.

Looking ahead, Paloh Print is committed to embracing digital transformation, exploring print-on-demand (POD) services and sustainable materials to minimize the industry’s carbon footprint. Plans are underway to develop an online customization platform, enabling customers to submit designs remotely and track production progress in real time. Andy envisions, “Our goal is not just to be the best printing service provider but to set the benchmark for industry innovation. ‘Small town, big business’ is more than just a slogan—it proves that regional limitations can be overcome.”

From a humble photography studio to a multifaceted printing solutions company, Paloh Print’s journey exemplifies adaptability and unwavering quality. Though it started in a small town, its sharp market insights and commitment to technological advancement have propelled it onto a larger stage—demonstrating that great businesses can emerge from any location, no matter how small. True to its name “伯乐印,” the company continuously seeks the value behind every customer’s needs, bringing them to life through expert craftsmanship.
